Rooms & Rates Our historic Louisiana bed and breakfast inn in Francisville, LA is furnished with antebellum family furniture handed down from generation to generation; one of the plantation suites has the original Desert furniture. Each of the four guest suites is furnished with antiques, including four-poster queen sized beds. All room rates include a full southern breakfast. There are two upstairs guestrooms with a balcony between them, wet bar, TV, refrigerator, and microwave for your convenience. Families with Children are Welcome at Desert Plantation Bed and Breakfast.
A shaded swimming pool as well as outside grills are available for your enjoyment. Nearby sites include several historical cemeteries including that of Governor Gerard Brandon, the first native born Mississippi Governor and Civil War General William Lindsay Brandon who led the Mississippi Militia at Malvern Hill, VA These are both ancestors of the current owners of Desert. The Clarks Creek Natural area is nearby and offers backpacking trips which feature beautiful waterfalls, wildlife and flowers. There is an abundance of fine shopping in nearby St. Francisville and Woodville. For the Golf enthusiast, The Bluffs Resort, a prestigious Arnold Palmer course, is nearby also. Advance Tee times are required. Catered picnics and food prepared at the pool is available for prices ranging $20.00 per person.
